I'm taking a break from blogging my Instagrams. I want to honor my intentions for this blog to be a personal visual and written narrative. Instagram is a nice distraction, photographic small talk. It is my perfect excuse to procrastinate--a very addictive distraction. Instagram lets me sketch ideas, not finalize them. This blog is a diary, a small sampling I'm willing to share with a public audience.
Taking a photograph is the easy part. I don't find it glamorous to sit at a computer and 'work' on photographs. The idea of editing shoots into cohesive segments scares me into washing dishes. Computers amplify my introversion.
I've been away from Minnesota for about four months. There are things needed to be expressed, stories waiting to be shared.
I find that the important things in my life are sometimes easily put on proverbial hold.
