A road trip was made to Belcourt, ND (Turtle Mountain) for friend Hillary and Aaron's wedding anniversary. I came in the capacity as a guest but decided to work as a photographer. There were plenty of guests with cameras snapping away, covering various perspectives. But hey, it's still a tradition to have a photographer for events. It's impossible for me to cover everything without being very disruptive.
There are a lot of photos for you to scroll through!
Glad I attended and documented their event. It was a beautiful occasion, with a strong mix of Native, Hawaiian and American traditions--a hodgepodge. Many guests, their family and mutual friends contributed food, music, and location. The whole deal was very relaxed--that's what I like.
There was an unusual tradition called the Five Man Lift...
Things wound down to music, a pontoon, drinking more water and then nap time.
That day was very special. I will remember it.
