Six years ago, Renato spent the spring and summer at our home.
Renato passed away shortly after watching his wife Selina and newborn baby die in a horrible accident.
I played the beginnings of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No.8, Op.13 for Renato's future wife Selina. I remember how she looked, living in the moment, enchanted. A soft voice, adventurous nature.
There were plans to visit Brazil in the future.
Renato and his family won't be there to greet us.
